The now-annual updating continues! |
|
No excuses this time, folks no matter what I've been doing, I should be updating more than once a year. My dearest Meg does. She's an update dynamo. |
Does this mean you finally have some new art? |
|
At least I can answer that question with an unequivocal yes: there are some new color pieces and two new pages of black and white art, one of which is all drawings of other people's characters. Feel free to poke around. Poke poke poke. For those of you who like-a da Yahoo Groups, there's two now devoted to stuff I've done in some respect: the Wildlifers Group, about my Wildlifers characters; and the Demona the Skunkubus Group, which has adult material. The Demona character started out as just a design I did in a my Sachet folio, but has kinda taken on a life of her own. Props to Sean Foltz for starting both groups, and turning Demona into a kind of cottage industry. I've still been puttering around with Flash animation. I've been working on a Flash game, which will most likely appear in some future update. I've been programming the hell out of it, so it runs really great; now all that's needed is doing all the little pieces of art for it. Turns out ActionScript, Flash's programming language, is a version of JavaScript, and they're both versions of an old assembly language called PASCAL my most hated of programming languages! Who knew that it would return to haunt me after all these years? At least it didn't take me long to learn. As you may have guessed, I do all the coding for these pages myself. My latest trick: putting my logo up in the little address bar at the top of this window! Coding Flash is a whole new and interesting area for me. I'm sure most of you are probably as interested in programming as a chicken is in carburator repair, but since I have a weak spot for logic problems it's something that really holds my interest. For webpages in general and Flash in particular, even a little interactivity can be a lot of fun, and to make Flash interactive you have to know Actionscript. If you for some reason want to learn some, take a look at Actionscript.org, where I picked up many of the better tricks. The tutorials are filled with killer tricks, and it's what you need to make it through the boring ol' Flash manual. For all whose emails I haven't answered recently (as in the last five months), sorry I've been actually doing art for a change, in particular all those long overdue commissions. Less talk more art! Back to work for me. More soon. |

| Warning! Some of the art on this site contains a little tasteful nudity. I always try to do work of which I can be proud, but I thought you might as well be warned! If you wish to avoid such impropriety well, to be honest, you should probably get off the internet completely. There's some stuff that's really offensive out there. If you don't want to take quite so desperate a measure, I direct you toward my archive on Yerf, which is filled with material from this site suitable for viewing by people of all ages. You might want to take a look regardless as the pics there are accompanied with explanatory text, making it a boon for the curious. Warning! This site is all fairly graphics heavy. I'm an artist! I've tried to keep it as small and quick-loading as possible, but if you have a slow connection or computer you may experience problems. My advice: bookmark now, so you can make it back later. Warning! All of the text, art, and graphics on the pages of this site is © 2003 Joe Rosales. I've worked very hard on it all and taken a chance to put it up here for your enjoyment, but it still belongs to me along with all its associated rights. I do this for a living, so if you want to take my stuff somewhere else or use it for some purpose, please contact me first and ask permission. | ||
Enjoy my site! If anything doesn't work, let me know! | ||
